Cold-blooded reptile, the turtle is distinguished by its shell connected to its internal cartilaginous skeleton. This shell is welded to the sides, leaving two openings dedicated one to the head and front legs and the other devolved to the lower limbs and tail. Turtles are oviparous and lay eggs once a year.
